MoMA Cubicle is David Horvitz's most recent collaborative book project, and is the outcome of three years of mail sent by David Horvitz to Zanna Gilbert at MoMA. Over 150 pieces, including driftwood, found paintings, watercolors, sand, postcards, poems, cymbals, cookies, etc. were sent to Zanna Gilbert's cubicle. While initially the mail was not conceived for display, these works were installed in Gilbert's cubicle at the museum, which was run as an appointment-only secret gallery. MoMA Cubicle contains a selection of scans of the work and short texts by Zanna Gilbert and MoMA Reader Services Librarian Jennifer Tobias.
